Okay, seriously. I just finished pulling the last load of laundry from the dryer. Right now, before folding the last load, four socks are missing matches. If I do not find the matches, then I will wear mismatched socks. This will not stop my life.
Yes, I like order; I like cleanliness, but that's not what life is all about. I hesitate to make a Mary/Martha comparison.
Clean reduces chances of disease. Sterile does not, necessarily. Clean is my mind 93% of the time. Clean is my room once I've done my laundry. Clean are my rabbits after they've groomed each other.
Is the opposite of clean dirty or messy? or both?
Clean is not the language of most movies or television these days. Or books. Is clean the same as pure?
Man, Catie Couric just interrupted a pretty pathetic People's Choice Awards. She confirmed the New Hampshire primaries. No real trends yet, folks, so I have no real idea if our country is bound and doomed to poopsville. That is probably not a clean town.
For the record? I appreciate Mitt Romney. Clean-cut guy; keeps his nose clean. Pretty clean record, too.
Off the record? I have no idea about the other republican candidates.
Also? I do like to see actual humans running for office, as if they really care, showing a bit of emotion here and there. I'm not the biggest Hillary fan, but come on, lay off. The media do what they do because most viewers are just that gullible. They eat it right up and let it form their opinions. You don't have to spin along. The media aren't so great at keeping the competition clean. Tell the media to bleepbleepbleep. Oops, there's the 7% of my mind taking over.
I love that the writers' strike is bonking the awards shows. I'm staring at Queen Latifah on an empty set, presenting nominees for the People's Choice awards. So similarly will be the Golden Globes, and perhaps the Academy Awards. Well, at least we don't have to worry about obnoxious acceptance speeches. But perhaps that's why people watch. Poor QL: she's all personality with no live audience to applaud. At least they don't have to worry about cleaning the arena.
Okay, now to see if socks can appear as mysteriously as they vanish ...
i've managed to do two loads of laundry.
reorganize one my closets.
run up to the church to help clean.
i cleaned the men's and women's bathrooms.
both floors.
i ran back. kind of a killer hill.
went straight to the shower.
now i'm here.
and it's only 10am.
now i have the rest of the day.
it's gonna be nice.
